Surakarta — SMPI Al Abidin Surakarta successfully conducted the Student Basic Leadership Training Program (LDKS – Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan Siswa) as part of its ongoing commitment to developing responsible, disciplined, and value-driven student leaders. The program took place over two days, Friday–Saturday, 30–31 January 2026, and was attended by OSIS candidates and student leaders.
The LDKS program was designed to provide participants with meaningful leadership experiences through a combination of character education, teamwork activities, discipline training, and reflective sessions. The opening ceremony marked the beginning of the program, followed by welcoming remarks from the Head of the Organizing Committee and school leadership, emphasizing the importance of leadership grounded in values and responsibility.
Throughout the first day, participants were introduced to program regulations, group arrangements, and team-building activities. Practical sessions encouraged independence and cooperation, while evening activities focused on spiritual reflection through congregational prayers, dhikr, and Qur’an recitation. Leadership discipline was further strengthened through marching drills and structured group assignments.
The second day began in the early morning with night patrol activities, followed by Tahajud prayer and morning worship sessions. These activities were intended to build mental resilience, discipline, and spiritual awareness among participants. Morning routines continued with group activities, physical exercise, and collaborative tasks that promoted responsibility and teamwork.
The program also included interactive discussions (sarasehan) and outbound activities, allowing students to reflect on leadership values, communication, and collaboration in a dynamic and engaging setting. The event concluded with the announcement of group achievements and a closing ceremony, marking the successful completion of the LDKS program.
Through this leadership training, SMPI Al Abidin Surakarta aims to prepare students who are not only capable of leading organizations but also able to manage time wisely, work collaboratively, uphold discipline, and serve as positive role models within the school community.
