Cambridge Pathway is designed for students aged 5 to 19 years old. Cambridge Pathway students have the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed at school, university, and beyond.
Four stages provide a seamless progression from primary to secondary and pre-university. Each stage – Cambridge Early Years, Primary, Lower Secondary, Upper Secondary and Advanced – builds on the learner’s development from the previous stage but can also be offered separately.
Cambridge Primary (Grades 1–5)
Cambridge Primary introduces learners (ages 5 to 11) to an exciting educational journey. This curriculum provides a strong foundation for students in the early years of school before progressing through the Cambridge Pathway in an age-appropriate way. With ten subject options, there are many opportunities to deliver core subjects while also developing creativity, expression, and well-being.
Cambridge Lower Secondary (Grades 6–8)
Cambridge Lower Secondary is typically for learners aged 11 to 14. A broad and balanced education benefits young adolescents and helps them grow in school, work, and life. Students in Years 6 and 8 will take the Cambridge Checkpoint tests as an international benchmark.
Cambridge Upper Secondary (Grades 9–10)
Cambridge Upper Secondary, also known as Cambridge IGCSE, is a programme for Years 9 and 10. Learners take the internationally recognised Cambridge IGCSE examinations at the end of Year 10. Some universities accept this certificate for admission, while others require students to continue by completing A Level.
Cambridge Advanced (Grades 11–12)
Cambridge Advanced, also known as Cambridge AS & A Level, is a programme for Years 11–12 that prepares students for university. Learners take the internationally recognised Cambridge AS & A Level examinations at the end of Year 12. Some universities accept this certificate for admission, while many require further progression to A Level.
