Surakarta — SMPI Al Abidin Surakarta officially held the Inauguration Ceremony of the Student Council (OSIS) Board for the 2026–2027 period, marking the beginning of a new chapter in student leadership and organizational development within the school.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the school principal, teachers, staff members, and students. The event symbolized the formal transition of responsibility from the previous OSIS board to the newly elected student leaders, who are entrusted with carrying out organizational duties for the upcoming academic year.
In the ceremony, the newly appointed OSIS board members took an oath, pledging to perform their responsibilities with integrity, discipline, and dedication. This moment reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing students who are not only active in organizations but also strong in character and values.
In her address, the Principal of SMPI Al Abidin Surakarta emphasized the important role of OSIS as a platform for leadership development, character building, and student participation. She also reminded the newly inaugurated OSIS members that organizational involvement should go hand in hand with academic achievement.
“Being part of OSIS should not reduce your commitment to learning. On the contrary, I hope you will continue to improve your academic performance while serving as OSIS administrators. May you become role models who excel both in leadership and academic achievement,” the Principal stated.
The OSIS Board for the 2026–2027 period is expected to initiate innovative and meaningful programs that support academic excellence, character education, social awareness, and student well-being.
